What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Archaeology in the Community (AITC) is a DC educational nonprofit that provides free and low-cost youth programs about local archaeology and history. We visit classrooms, homeschooling groups, and youth organizations on request to lead hands-on, engaging activities that teach archaeological science. We also organize community events and out of school time programs for local families.
In our Young Archaeologists' Club, students will work with professional archaeologists and explore archaeological science through hands-on activities, crafts, and games. In-person options in Washington, DC and virtual options are available.
