It doesn't matter what we call it: Summer is a great time to learn acting, singing, and dancing! With our area's emphasis on performance and music, there are lots of summer camps to choose from. Some are one week, some are more. Know of more? Let us know!
Encore Stage and Studio
Encore offers summer theatre programs for children of all ages, from preschoolers to teens. The Preschool and Rising Kindergarten camp introduces young learners to theatre through songs, movement, storytelling, and crafts. It’s Elementary, for ages 5–9, features creative weekly themes full of performance and problem-solving activities. Scenes for Tweens, for ages 9–12, lets students explore specialized topics like Broadway, comedy, or costume design. Older students, ages 12–15, can join Stage Door and Tech Camp to experience professional theatre life, acting or working backstage. All camps end with a final performance, and scholarships are available for every program.
