Steve & Kate’s Camp
Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge of their own learning experience. Campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, coding, film, sports, and more! As kids try, fail, and learn on their own, they learn to trust their own judgment, and tackle the challenges of an ever changing world with creativity and confidence.
Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time–no weekly reservations required. Or, buy a Summer Pass, which covers the whole season. If your plans change, we’ll automatically refund any unused days at summer’s end. Lunch, snacks & 8am–6pm included.

American University's School of Communication offers pre-college summer coursesDiscover the World of Communication offers professional pre-college summer courses for high school and rising high school students through American University’s award-winning School of Communication. All classes are taught in person by American University faculty and industry professionals on Washington, DC’s beautiful American University campus. Classes empower high school students to expand their minds and broaden their creativity in an engaging commuter program. Each session offers nine days of morning and afternoon classes.
Session One: July 1-13, with no classes on July 4-7; Session Two: July 15-25.
Classes include professional instruction, supplies, and access to cutting-edge equipment for film, photography, game design, VR, journalism, and public communication. There are no prerequisites. Contact the program at audiscover@american.edu or (202) 885-2098.
