The Snapchat slogan parades the message, “Life is more fun when you live in the moment”. A description brief for Snapchat promotes fun through empowerment … “Empowering community to push the boundaries of how people experience the world around them, bringing physical and digital worlds together”.

These are catchy for sure, but imagine how this invitation translates to a child or a teenager who is seeking validation by any means necessary. Or how bullies, predators, and advertisers are lurking to access unassuming users. The implications are vast so we need to be informed on how to parent our kids through the world of online access through Snapchat.

Parents, you are a beacon of safety and boundaries as the world delivers unlimited access at their fingertips.

Join Kelly Newcom, author, speaker, and founder of Brave Parenting, as she walks through setting up a new account, engagement features, communication capabilities, navigation tools, dangers, and safety settings of Snapchat.

Kelly will also discuss how to protect our kids from ideologies of perfection, awareness of mental illness, and bullying behaviors by turning them into opportunities for character development and growth instead.

Having an intimate understanding of Snapchat allows you to thoughtfully set boundaries and cultivate safe, calm, and healthy conversations as a family.

Parenting ever changing technology can be tough. But with expert insight we can bravely love and help our kids navigate safely.

“To educate and equip parents to do the brave hard work of raising kids of character in a culture of technology and temptation” - Kelly Newcom, Founder of Brave Parenting

This one-hour webinar is the first of a series on the “Three Big Socials” and will include interactive Q&A dialogue with Kelly Newcom.
