Just Drop In: How Things Work at National Building Museum

Drop in and become a mini engineer! Kids will use paper plates, straws, tape, and other simple materials to design and build their own marble mazes. Inspired by Rube Goldberg machines, these creative challenges encourage problem-solving, experimentation, and fun as kids guide a marble from start to finish.

Pre-registration is recommended but not required.

Note: Program tickets are $7 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.

About Just Drop In!

Held on the first Sunday and fourth Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these workshops offer the perfect opportunity to engage in a variety of building and craft activities inspired by the world we design and build.
