What's in a name? Frenchy's, FranCeil, Fran and Ceils, Fran-Ceils French Custard… Fran n Ceils (Fran & 'seals') is how we say it. Our original owners were brothers-in-law, who in the 1950's named the ice cream store after their wives, who were sisters. Their names were Frances and Celia… Fran and Ceil. Our family has kept the tradition alive in Blasdell(Lackawanna border) (just south of Buffalo, NY) for almost 40 years, serving the same frozen custard, and even using the original homemade sherbet recipe that was passed on to us! Whatever you call us, we're sure you’ll enjoy our treats!

Hibbard’s Original Frozen Custard has been family owned and seasonally operated since 1939. Harold Hibbard Senior’s desire to start the business was born after a chance encounter with fresh made custard in the mid-thirties. Mr. Hibbard saw value in the delicious product and brought that value to his hometown. Four generations later, Hibbard’s still has the pleasure of serving the Village of Lewiston and surrounding areas.
