A former teacher with a master’s degree in education, Ann is an award-winning author of numerous books, mostly nonfiction. Her latest include FANTASTIC FLORA: THE WORLD’S BIGGEST, BADDEST, AND SMELLIEST PLANTS (Candlewick/ MIT Kids Press, 2025) and a picture book co-written with astronaut Karen Nyberg called A QUILT OF STARS (Familius, 2026). Ann is active in the community. She offers free presentations for museums, bookstores, festivals, and other venues. She also provides author visits for schools and libraries.
