Filmmaking doesn’t end after the cameras stop rolling. Take a good film and make it exceptional! Join a group of like-minded filmmakers while you practice essentials in cinema production. Our programs offer pre-professional and intensive hands-on education in narrative filmmaking, in an intimate, collaborative setting.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

During this five-day intensive, students will learn the art and techniques of cinema editing. Lectures will include screenings and in-class exercises providing students with skills to edit their own productions in Adobe Premiere. This intensive is led by Point Park Visiting Teaching Artist Noel Schermaier and includes a free portable hard-drive!

To enroll in this exciting program, students must be entering grades 9-12 as of Fall. No prior experience is necessary. An in-depth look at a typical schedule is available on our website.

The deadline to complete your registration is June 19, 2022.

All participants are required to be fully vaccinated (meaning a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines) in order to attend our programs.

This program is open to the first 16 students who complete the registration and pay their deposit.

Please note: Class content may contain clips from R-Rated films.
