The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is an all-singing, all-strumming group of ukulele players who believe every genre is open to reinterpretation and delights with inventive ukulele renditions of everything from rock anthems to classical masterpieces. A concert by the Orchestra is a funny, virtuosic, foot-stomping celebration of rock ‘n’ roll and melodious light entertainment. With nothing but ukuleles and a wide range of voices (plus a bit of whistling), they reveal the surprising depth and charm of the “bonsai guitar.”
