TerpsTalk - Russian Language Camp
Does your child love learning new languages? TerpsTalk at the University of Maryland is their chance to discover Russian language and culture this summer. This FREE program for students in 9-12th grade will take place July 28 - August 8, 2025 (Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) at the National Foreign Language Center in Riverdale, MD. "TerpsTalk" is made possible through STARTALK, a program that promotes the teaching and learning of critical languages in the United States!

Dive into a 70-hour immersive Russian language experience designed for high school students who have little to no background in Russian! At TerpsTalk, you'll explore the language in small groups and through one-on-one tutoring, learning to introduce yourself, talk about your interests, and connect with Russian speakers. While you’re learning the language, you’ll discover cultural products, traditions, and must-see spots in Moscow and St. Petersburg. By the end, you'll have a solid foundation to keep learning—whether in high school, college, or on your own.
