Homeschool Tutorials

Our homeschool tutorials meet in-person in our Bowie-Laurel learning center. Each tutorial meets for several hours at a time, depending on the developmental stage of the students, and includes instruction in multiple subjects in each meeting. Each level meets twice per week with the option to join us for both days or only one day. 

Curriculum

We custom create a curriculum for each group of students as the semester goes on. The first meeting is all about learning who the human beings are who will be working together for the semester. We want to know what they love, what they're not confident in, what they need help with and what they need to be challenged on. Then we create a plan to meet those needs. 

Small Group Sizes
With a 9 student maximum, we are able to customize curriculum to the students enrolled in each class.

Levels
Organizing class levels according to minimum skills rather than "grade level" or age allows us to keep the range of skill-levels close.

Neutral Space
Secular curriculum makes a comfortable space for students of all faith backgrounds, including a completely secular family culture.

Positive, Peaceful & Inclusive

Art & Play
Play-based strategies and creative projects make learning fun and personalized.

Safety
Safety is our top priority. That's why we are offering a range of options for the fall. Our in-person classes will fully utilize our options for fresh air, and social distancing. Frequent sanitization and masks will also help us stay safe and healthy. All staff is required to be vaccinated and we will take precautions as if we were not. Tutorials will be held in-person at 9811 Mallard Drive, Suite 111, Laurel, MD 20708. Other classes are available to be accessed online.
