Haunted Lab

Throughout October, the Children’s Science Center Lab is hosting the annual Haunted Lab! In addition to spooky decorations, there will be Spooky Scavenger Hunt, Plasmodial Slime, Monster Genetics, and more spooky STEM fun for your child! The Lab is aimed for children ages 2-12.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
The Lab will be transformed into our Haunted Lab for all of October! In addition to spooky decorations there will also be, Spooky Scavenger Hunt: Hunt throughout the haunted lab for some spooky animals. (Guest Services)
Plasmodial Slime: Walking through the forest you spy something ooey, gooey, bumpy, and other worldly at the roots of a large tree. You’ve never seen anything like it before. What is it? It’s plasmodial slime! Learn more weird and wonderful facts about slime molds and create a model of a plasmodial slime mold. (Experiment Bar)
Monster Genetics: Determine the traits of a monster with the power of probability at the Tinker Shop! (Tinker Counter)
