Virtual History and Geography Camp - Great United States Road Trip
*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 07/24/2020
The Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum, Claude Moore Park, and Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center are hosting a virtual week long full-day camp. This week's camp theme is History and Geography. If you want to take a road trip across the country from the comfort of your home, this is the camp for you. Learn about important historical events, see historic landmarks, and explore national parks. We will travel from region to region learning abou the different histories, geographies, and cultures that exist within the United States. Come take the Great United States Road Trip.
Each day as we travel to a new region of the country, your camper will learn about the states within that region and identify them on a map. Campers will fill out a guidebook as they learn about the history, geography, and culture of each region, including notable landmarks and national parks. No road trip is complete without seeing the sites, which is why campers will gt to see a virtual tour or most landmarks and parks. Finally, if parents are up for it, each day will include food suggestions for the family to try that are authentic to the regions. Parents can choose to make/purchase these foods for their campers to try.
Supplies will be provided.
