VIRTUAL EVENT: Historic Cooking Challenge from Sandy Spring Museum, MD

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 07/31/2020
Do you love to cook? Do you love History? Then, Sandy Spring Museum’s Historic Cooking Challenge is for you! Try your hand at making a weekly recipe from the museum’s historic collection, then share the results to social media throughout the week using #SSMHistoricCookingChallenge. Don’t forget to tag us! Olney-based foodie and nutritionist, Debbie Amster, has hand-picked recipes from the archives, putting together an eclectic mix of oldfangled recipes sure to excite, baffle, and challenge cooks of all skill levels.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

During this 8-week challenge, Debbie will make the recipe and share the results on the museum’s social media pages. Drop an image of your finished product in the comments and tell her about your experience in the kitchen!

Looking to support local small businesses and for the freshest ingredients? Visit the Olney Farmers and Artists Market and stop by the information booth for a hard copy of each week’s recipe.

Never miss a recipe! Sign up to receive email updates about the Historic Cooking Challenge here https://www.sandyspringmuseum.org/programs-and-events/historic-cooking-c...
