Palestinian Children’s Day (All Invited!)

Join us for a day of learning about Palestinian culture, including a live book reading by Susan Darraj, and writing letters to children in Palestine.

Play teacher-led games, make your own falafel sandwiches with all the fixings, accompanied by cupcakes in the colors of Palestine (Do you know what they are?) and juice drinks. Listen to Susan Darraj read her latest book, Farah in Fifth Grade. Make new friends.
Make a book with your own drawings and letters to children at Dar Al-Kalima School in Bethlehem. Write about yourself (or tell our volunteers what you want to say) and ask your new friends in Palestine to write back! They will!
Each child will have a book of their own to take home, and a pen-pal to write to and receive letters from.
All materials included.
Workshop fee: $12.00 per child. Free for parents accompanying a child. Adult lunch fee: $6.00
