Outdoor Mommy & Me Get Fit After Baby - Mind the Mat Pilates & Yoga, Del Ray - Alexandria, VA

Get out of the house, get fit after baby with functional and safe movements, and meet other new mamas. For 45 minutes Sara will lead mamas around the neighborhood with strollers to parks and shady spots where you will practice movements to strengthen your pelvic floor, abs, thighs, gluts, arms and back as well as stretch it out. Movements are designed specifically for post-pregnancy mamas. Many of the exercises will be done with baby in arms. If babies are sleeping or relaxed, they can stay in their strollers. Each week this class will include a surprise treat for mom and baby at the end after the hard work is done!
LOCATION: MEET AT THE TOT LOT ON THE CORNER OF DEL RAY AVE & COMMONWEALTH AVE.
Important Information/What to bring:
Please arrive and leave with a mask. You may take your mask off when you are on your mat doing a movement.
Stay 10 ft. apart from other mamas.
Wear tennis shoes.
Bring water, a mat, hand sanitizer, bug spray, sunscreen, a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Make sure your stroller provides shade for your baby and think about getting a clip on, battery operated fan for your little one.
It is recommend to be at least 6-weeks postpartum and have clearance from your doctor.
No previous experience is necessary. All levels welcome! Breast feeding, changing diapers & crying babies all welcome :)
OUTDOOR CLASSES MUST BE CANCELED 12 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
In case of inclement weather, you will receive an email and class will be offered virtually.
