Observe the Sun with Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, weather permitting. Become an astronomer and observe the Sun safely with a filtered telescope. Join us outside the Museum at the corner of 7th Street and Independence Avenue, near the silver Delta Solar sculpture, to view a variety of features on the Sun. Knowledgeable staff will be there to answer questions and guide observing. No reservations are necessary to participate. This program generally takes place on Fridays and Saturdays but will be cancelled if weather does not permit observing (clouds, rain, extreme temperatures).

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
