Jack-O-Lantern Hike at Locust Grove Nature Center - Bethesda, MD

Are you brave enough to step into the dark? Guided only by the light of the Jack-O-Lanterns… if so, don your costume and join us for this Friday night hike and campfire with a treat for those who make it through. Jack-o-Lantern Luminary Hike- 6:45pm to 9:00pm. (If you have little ones, register for the Pumpkin Patch hike from 5:00pm-6:30pm before dark).

This is an after-dark hike through the woods on natural surface trails with little illumination. No flashlights allowed. Children should be comfortable in the woods at night. This outdoor-only program follows all best practices for physical distancing. To help us space traffic on the trails, please register for a time slot using the SubActivity feature.
Register by Wednesday, October 28 to schedule your time slot and to receive a prize for completing the hike. We cannot accept drop-ins on the day of the program.
Natural surface trails are not stroller accessible.
Severe weather cancels the program.
$2 per person. Please register both adults and children over the age of 2.
