Camp Washington: Summer Day Camp at Mount Vernon

Rising 4th-6th graders are invited to get a taste of colonial life through our special day camps. Few spots remaining!

Campers participate in STEM-based activities—archaeology, surveying, architecture, gardening, and more—to explore the estate and George Washington's life. They also meet people from George Washington's world, learn about everyday life in the 18th century, and meet some of the estate's heritage breed animals.
Throughout the week, campers contribute to the creation of an exhibition that showcases what they learned. Families are invited to the “exhibition opening” on Friday at 2pm to hear campers describe their creative process and celebrate other achievements such as landscape painting and music making.
